- Use an inbox you actively check (avoid abandoned work emails).
- Set a calendar reminder for your check‑in window.
- Keep your email address updated in Settings.
- Check spam and “Promotions” tabs during the first month.
- If you travel a lot or change numbers/emails, add a trusted contact as an extra safeguard (optional).
- Review your setup 2–4 times per year (especially after major life changes).
